  • DESCRIPTION:
    Vitreoretinal Procedures Vast surgical exposure in performing complex retinal surgeries: ( > 3500) 1. Retinal detachments: scleral buckling simple and complex (retinal with choroidal detachments, GRTs and GRDs) 2. Endoilluminator assisted buckling surgery 3. Vitreoretinal surgery: adept at doing 20, 23 and 25 gauge sutureless vitrectomy for simple and complex retinal detachments (PVR grades D1 or higher, RD in IFC, Pediatric RDs, endophthalmitis with RD, RDs with Choroidal detachments, foreign body with RD, phacofragmentation with IOL fixation in situ) 4. Diabetic vitrectomy (Tractional RD, ERMs, VMTS, Vitreous hemorrhage) 5. Macular surgeries (Macular holes, ERMs, VMT) 6. Management of Ocular trauma related retinal detachments and choroidal bleeds 7. Drainage and management of massive subretinal bleeds (AMD or trauma related). Uveal pathology related surgeries: 1. Diagnostic and therapeutic vitrectomy including complex situations (PIOL etc.) 2. Endoresection of Uveal melanoma (25 gauge) ROP Screening and Lasers: Performed large number of ROP screening and laser at ROP clinic and NICU of All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Cataract surgeries 1. Have performed scores of cataract surgeries (>5000) 2. Complex cataract surgeries involving post PPV cataracts, cataracts in oil filled eyes, cases of subluxated cataracts with Cionni ring fixation, diabetic and hard cataracts Secondary IOLs: 1.Adept at performing scleral fixated IOL, glued IOL and secondary IOL with inadequate sulcus support with partial fixation 2.
