DESCRIPTION
In various conditions the patients require application of compression on the arms or hands. The
indications may vary from Post Mastectomy Lymphoedema to Post Burns Hypertrophic Scarring.
The patients may require different types of compression depending on the indications.
In cases of Post Mastectomy Lymphoedema the garments may initially go loose after 10-15 days
as the oedema reduces. For such cases NORMA offers the facility of Progressive Correction. It
means that the compression in the same garments can be increased as per the new, reduced
measurements of the patient. This can be done only within the effective medical life of the
garments.
Gloves are used for application of compression on the hands. They are used along with Arm
Sleeves for the cases of Post Mastectomy Lymphoedema for avoiding distal oedema. The
patient can conveniently remove them for doing household chores without while keeping the
arm under compression. This may be done for a very small duration only.
